Slice and Price (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides tooling for Shopify merchants to manage 3D printing workflows. This policy explains what personal data we process and how we protect it.
Data we process
- —Shop-level account and session metadata needed to authenticate merchants.
- —Merchant slicer configuration bundles (printer, print, and filament presets) and pricing settings.
- —3D model files uploaded by the merchant for slicing, and the resulting G-code and slicing metadata.
- —Print job metadata derived from orders: print jobs are identified by IDs that embed Shopify order IDs, together with print status and timestamps.
- —A legacy upload table may hold an email address supplied with a direct model upload; new workflows do not collect customer contact details.
We do not store customer personal data beyond these order references — no customer names, addresses, phone numbers, or payment details.
How we use data
- —Operate core app functions: slicing, pricing, and order workflows.
- —Support merchants and troubleshoot technical issues.
- —Comply with legal obligations, including Shopify GDPR webhooks.
Data retention, deletion, and data requests
Merchant data is retained while the app is installed. We process Shopify compliance webhooks (customers/data_request, customers/redact, and shop/redact): customer redaction requests are fulfilled automatically by anonymising any matching legacy upload records, and shop redaction permanently deletes all data we hold for the shop.
Customer data requests are handled entirely in-app. Each request received from Shopify appears on the merchant’s Compliance screen, where the merchant can download a JSON export of every matching record and mark the request as handled. GDPR requires data requests to be actioned within 30 days; the dashboard surfaces pending requests until they are resolved.
